You know how it is sometimes when you listen to one of your favourite bands or albums? It just.. resonates right. Have that special vibe. In short: it hits “the spot”.
Guess what?
It’s actually scientifically stated that the more you listen to a specific genre or artist, the more you focus on that and similar artists. If you’re a casual listener, it is likely that you simply eat what’s available, so to speak.
Me, I’m not so sure it’s got with the frequency of listen, but more the interest. If you are interested in the musci, the lyrics, the everything behind it – you’ll listen a lot and search actively for new similar music. If you are the kind of audience that is happy with some company on the radio, you’ll take whatever the radio happen to be playing.
However: the entire thing gives me the opportunity to give cudos to an excellent site: Metalsucks.
